Charlies Trophy 2017
Here we are in 2017 already and only 5 months away from Charlies Trophy 2017!! This year it is being held on 4 August at Dainton Golf Club, Newton Abbot.
Last year 124 golfers participated, raising over £12,000 for charity. A fun day at a sunny Dainton challenged the golfers to a number of tasks, including Beat The Pro and The Marshmallow Challenge, aswell as the obligatory 18 holes of golf finishing off with a BBQ on the 19th!
Entry forms and a full programme will be available here soon!
This year our nominated charities are:
Our main beneficiary as every year is The RTS UK Support Group. This charity has two main aims, to offer support to families and carers of those affected by Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (RTS) and
to help raise awareness of RTS amongst the medical community and the general population. Martins grandson Charlie was diagnosed with RTS at 2 years old so is a cause close to his heart.
Marie Curie provides care and support for more than 50,000 people living with a terminal illness and their families in the UK each year. Their nurses work night and day, in people’s homes across the UK, providing hands-on care and vital emotional support. Their hospices offer specialist round-the-clock care.
Newton Abbot Rotary Club (NARC) founded in 1922 still has a thriving membership of over 50 men and women from a wide range of professions, businesses and organisations who all share a common interest in helping others. Since October 2015 RCNA have made donations to over 30 charities, social organisations and individuals.
We would be hard pushed to find sponsors as good as the ones who support us year after year, and this year is no exception.
Leading the way we have our main sponsor System 6 Kitchens, followed by Brite Recruitment and Firewatch. Others are yet to be confirmed.
