Churston Ferrers Fire Doors
This month’s spotlight is on Churston Ferrer’s Grammar School. (CFGS), established in 1957 and is one of just 42 co-educational grammar schools in the country. In its two most recent Ofsted inspections the school was awarded outstanding grades in every single category.
Despite its relatively small size, the school punches well above its weight both academically and in extra-curricular pursuits. The school is consistently in the top 100 schools nationally for both GCSE and A Level results.
Our Brunel Maintenance division has recently completed replacing the communal double doors and carried out maintenance and replacement of other fire doors at the school:-
Sue Foot , Director of Finance CFGS commentated “Firewatch have maintained our fire safety equipment for some years, we had no hesitation in asking them for their expertise help in replacing and refurbishing fire doors within the school. The work was carried out on time and within budget. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.”
All of us who use or occupy any building have a right to expect that we will be safely protected should a fire break out. Fire doors are part of a building’s PASSIVE fire protection system, an essential requirement for ALL public buildings, offices and factories.
The primary purpose of a fire door in everyday use is just as any other door. However, a breakout of fire is never predictable, the fire door, unlike any other door, must then perform its prime purpose - to protect lives and offer protection to the remainder of the building and to other buildings. A correctly fitted and maintained fire door can protect trapped occupants of a building but also give precious time in carrying out an evacuation.
Contact Royston Blunt , to discuss how Firewatch can solve your fire door problems , we are able to repair most types of doors and please ask about our maintenance scheduling scheme.
